I'm Getting Hairier!!!!!!

For the whole week of class we started working on first covering our eyebrows, then slowly making our mustaches and thicker eyebrows.

First we used our water based type wax on our eyebrow, this was to keep all hair in place. Once it is dried we go to step two:

I had to use my fairest base color foundation and put it all on my eyebrows and around it. I noticed I out the foundation to big around my eyebrows, but that's something I got to work on in time. The we took our highlight and only applied that to our eyebrow. After you use that process over and over again until you can't really see the eyebrow, you apply the translucent powder around the whole area. Final product of this step is pictured below:

During this process we also were given paper drawings of eyebrows and a mustache, we placed our clear divider on there and traced the drawings with our latex. The bottom is the mustache, we just painted out latex over the divide in the middle.

After we let that dry for a day, the next day we picked our hair we would then twist together. Mine was orange and grey, after we picked them we would take small pieces of each clump of hair and pull them, in small clumps, apart. Blending them together, then we twist one end of the clump and repeat.

After this, we go back to our eyebrows and mustache, I started with the mustache first. We take one clump of hair we made, you put a little bit of latex and paint it on one corner of the mustache. Then using any tool, you press down the piece of hair on the end of it and pull it so it sticks no the latex, I used the end of a paint brush. You repeat this the whole way around the mustache and eyebrows. When dried you repeat it until the whole mustache and eyebrows are covered.
First set of pulling
2nd set of pulling - finish product.

After all this is done, you add your basic corrective, foundation, contour, and add aging to your face. (Pictured below)
Obviously I need to get a better technique with hiding my eyebrows, currently going to work on this for my final product. The end of it all we detach the eyebrows and mustache from the page, we do this with a Q-tip and our Spirit Gum Remover. Then we add our Spirit Gum to the backs of them so they attach to our face.
Remember to wipe the area you are putting the things on your face!!!!!
Sorry had to say it like this because I always forget :)

But, my ending product of it all is...........

Leah Punched Me... But Really Though

So today's next lesson is on bruising and abrasions...
My example for abrasions
My example for bruising

So we started out like we usually do, putting our corrective on (green and yellow correction, foundation, and contouring.)

Then we went on to using our yellow from our color wheel to outline the bruising around the eye....
Kind of hard to see..

Then we started blending the yellow all around the eye...

After this we accented green to indicate the middle of the bruising, purple to outline the outside of the bruising and taking the blood red and dabbing it in the inside of our inner eyelid and the inner corner of our eye. Unfortunately, I did not get to capture that process of coloring (I am constantly forgetting to take tons of pictures... IM TRYING MY BEST OKAY??)

But, anyway, after we were done bruising, we start doing the open cut/abrasions.
We used our liquid latex and made a diagonal line on the arch of our eyebrow and ended it below the eyebrow.
After we had that dry, we used our dry and wet blood and make a line above and below the abrasion. Then we added stage blood by using the end of a brush dipping it in blood and slowly letting it drip down the eye. (Felt weird..)

Ending product.....

One thing I would change or do better is take more pictures of my process and maybe blended my eye lid make up more as well as making the the abrasion a little more realistic and less sloppy.
